This hidden treasure is a local favorite for a good reason. Homestyle cooking just like your grandma used to make but with huge portions enough for another meal later that night or the next day. And with staff so friendly it makes you look forward to the next time you can come back.

It's an old house they have turned into a restaurant, not much for looks. But the food is great, big portions, good tasting, big glasses, and the prices are very fair. You definitely won't go broke trying to get something to eat!

Due to the abstract construct of this establishment, one could only assume that John Wayne himself eats here. Although this may not be true, the remaining evidence is that large portion sizes and the distinct southern drawl present in the vocal tones of all the employees makes for an above average meal. Overall, hospitality makes up for the seemingly overpriced items on the menu, and the sweet tea has enough sugar in it to give a dairy cow blood sugar issues. In Texas, that's the way it should be... Fantastic!
